In recent times, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a part of our day-to-day life and its has been used for very small things. From voice Assistants like Alexa or Siri to self-driving cars and also the Face-Recognition; AI has evolved on a large scale in the recent times. AI is almost everywhere, it makes our life more easier than before and faster with sometimes fun. But like every other good thing and bright side of everything, there is always a Dark side of it also.

As AI helps us in many ways but at the end due to its Dark side it brings some of the serious Risks and problems. Many people are now talking about the Danger of Artificial Intelligence. In this blog, we will understand the AI Risk together.

Before we talk about its dark side let us understand what AI really is.

Artificial Intelligence means making the Machines and Computers think and act like the Humans. With the help of given data, AI can talk and behave like the humans but at the end they don’t have any feelings or emotions. It just follows the data and the commands which are given.

Now we know enough about the AI, let’s talk about the Negative Effect of AI.

Negative Effects of AI:  

1.AI and Job Loss: One of the biggest problems nowadays is AI and Job Loss. AI is doing that work which was done by the humans earlier. Machines and Robots are now working in the factories, offices, shops, and now even in the Hospitals.

For Examples:

• In factories, Robots are doing the work of workers.
• In banks, chatbots are answering all the question instead of humans.
• In shops, instead of Cashier the machines are providing self-checkouts.

This creates a big problem for those people who does a repetitive job and simple jobs. There is a fear already that in the near future AI will take over the Jobs market completely and millions of people will be job less.

2. Bias and Discrimination: Everyone thinks that the AI and the Machines are always neutral or unbiased but its not like that.

AI always learns from the Data which is provided to them. If the given data is unfair and biased so than the AI will also be biased and unfair. For Example, in a company for hiring the employees if the given data to AI is biased and unfair towards the women than the AI will for sure reject them.

This is a serious AI Risk and Danger of Artificial Intelligence. Due to this many people will be getting discriminated and job less just because the machines. So, always keep one thing in your mind that the AI and machines are not always correct, they are also wrong.

3. Privacy Issues: AI needs a large amount of data to function properly. That means it collects a lot of information of us – like our names, habits, photos, voice, etc.

Have you ever wondered that how your mobile phones shows ads about something that you just talked recently, This is all because of AI. This a big Danger of Artificial Intelligence along with the Negative Effect of AI. Our private life is no more private. Companies and various apps collect our data and sometimes even sell it. This is very dangerous for humans.

If someone’s data falls into the wrong hands than it can be misused in many harmful ways.

4. Deepfakes and Misinformation: AI can make videos, images and sound that looks exactly same. These are called as deepfakes. You may have seen Celebrity’s ads but many of the times they never done it, its has been created with AI. Peoples can be tricked easily with this. Fake news can also be spread easily very fast. A persons image and Reputation can be brought down very easily with this AI’s deepfakes.

This is a very big Artificial Intelligence Problems and AI Risk which have to be given more attention otherwise it will destroy all the things. –

5. AI in Weapon & War: One of the most scariest uses of AI is in Weapons & War. Many Countries are making a new type of AI and installing them into the weapons which detects the target and attack rapidly without the help of humans.

These are called as Killer Robots or Autonomous Weapons.

If this has been fallen into wrong hands than many innocent people can be murdered and will lead to a complete destruction. This type of AI weapons can also lead to starting of War unnecessarily. It shows the Negative Effect of AI and Danger of Artificial Intelligence.

This is not any story, this is happening in real-life. This shows that how AI Risk is deeply connected when it comes to weapons.

6. Over-Dependence on AI: Nowadays, almost every human being is dependent on AI and Technology. Due to this dependency, the power of thinking and decision-making is getting over day-by–day. The imagination power of humans is decreasing. For small things Humans are dependent on AI.

From Google maps to Chatbots, everyother thing now is having AI. Imagine driving a car which has AI already installed in it and a person’s surgery is also done through robots. One single wrong command or misguide will lead to destruction of many. This is a very big Danger of Artificial Inteligence. If not stopped than AI Risk is the biggest Rist in the whole world. To avoid the Danger of Artificial Intelligence, it is very important to stop AI in everything and Human touch is now necessary.
